Privacy Policy

Omi is a daily affirmations app published by Aniruddh Dubge (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use the Omi app and this website, why, and the choices you have. The short version: most of what you tell the app stays on your phone, we don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.

What stays on your device

The answers you give during setup (such as your name, age range, pronouns, focus areas and the topics you pick), your favorites, your own affirmations, your mood check-ins, your streak, your reminder schedule and your theme are stored locally on your device. Reminders are scheduled on your device as local notifications.

What we collect

If you create an account

Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile those services share with us, usually your name and email address (Apple lets you hide your email). When you’re signed in, we keep a backup of your in-app data listed above on our servers so you can restore it on a new phone.

Purchases

Payments are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check which subscription or purchase is active on your account; it receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history for the app.

Reframe Thoughts

When you use Reframe Thoughts, the text you write is sent to our server to find affirmations that answer it. We don’t store that text. We keep a temporary, random device identifier to enforce the hourly usage limit.

Technical data

Like any online service, our servers receive technical information with each request, such as your IP address, app version, device type and language. We use it to deliver content in your language, keep the service secure and fix problems. Our hosting providers keep these logs for a limited time.

This website doesn’t use cookies or advertising trackers.

How we use it

We don’t sell or rent your personal data, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others. If Omi is ever transferred to a new owner, this policy will continue to apply to your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and backup for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your account data and backup within 30 days. Purchase records may be kept longer where the law requires.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, California or India), you may have additional rights, such as objecting to processing or complaining to your local data protection authority. We honour these rights for everyone.

Children

Omi isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Security and transfers

Data is encrypted in transit, and access to our systems is restricted. Our providers may process data in countries other than yours; when they do, it’s protected by their contractual commitments.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above, and for significant changes we’ll let you know in the app.
